Service sevensevenPAULIE

This location will never get a perfect 10 for me simply because they don’t have a running leaderboard, nor do they take your photo after you’ve escaped. The storytelling at the start was rushed and felt obligatory. They were friendly enough at the reception and gave our clues when we needed them.

sevensevenBEN

Friendly people, but the intro was a little bit rushed! I’d also like to see a leaderboard and have the option to take a picture (like at the other two Locked Room locations).

Puzzles sixsixPAULIE

Some portions of the room had a mix of average puzzles and just plain lazy puzzles. I’m usually fine with puzzles that are plain giveaways, but if an escape room has a lot of that, it just feels lazy. One room did feel unique, but the execution still left something to be desired.

sixsixBEN

The puzzles were a little bit uninspired… There were a few things that weren’t very intuitive, but then again, we wouldn’t want everything to be doable so quickly!

Look sevensevenPAULIE

This isn’t a bad-looking room. Small? Yes. Simple? Yes. Some of the props though looked and felt cheap, and one of the notes being handwritten on a piece of paper didn’t help either.

sixsixBEN

It’s supposed to look like the attic of a rich person, and I think it did that pretty well for the first part. As we progressed though, it was less than impressive. It was a bit squishy with 2 people, so I can’t imagine what it would be like with 6!

Immersion fivefvePAULIE

There was no music to begin with, so the atmosphere in this room was already nonexistent in the first place. On top of this, we could totally overhear the totally obnoxious, repetitive, and bombastic trumpeting sound blaring from the room next to us.

fivefveBEN

We could hear a lot of the sounds coming from the other room next to us, which took away from the whole feeling of pulling off a heist… I didn’t really feel any sense of urgency in this room.

Theme fivePAULIE

The theme itself was fine, but there were problems with the execution. Some of the elements in the room (puzzles, props, and especially the riddles… the uninspired riddles) did not go along with the theme.

fiveBEN

The theme of breaking in and stealing something isn’t particularly original as far as escape rooms go. However, this room didn’t feel very thematically cohesive with its puzzles and lack of music.

This gets a #bronze. I would recommend this to younger kids and beginners. There’s just something very lazy about the conceptualization of this room.

I give this room a #bronze. This room wasn’t my cup of tea. Still, some of the puzzles in it might be suited for a group with younger kids.
